Big Print Christmas Word Search

Seventy-five word searches, one for every part of the season: trimming the tree, the cookie exchange, sleigh bells, the Christmas pageant, the gingerbread house, Silent Night and the old carols, the nativity story, caroling door to door, and packing it all away in January. The theme is at the top of the page, and every word in the list belongs to it. Every puzzle gets its own two-page spread. The word list sits on the left in alphabetical order, and the grid has the whole right-hand page to itself, so nothing is squeezed and no puzzle is split across a turn of the page. The grids are fifteen letters square, set in 31-point bold type with capitals 7.7 millimeters tall, and the word list is larger still, about 8.7 millimeters. The book is in three sections: thirty easy puzzles where words run only across and down, thirty medium puzzles that add the diagonals, and fifteen hard puzzles where words can run in any of eight directions, including backwards. Every answer is written out in plain words at the back, giving the row, the column it starts in and the direction it runs. Thirteen to fifteen words to a puzzle, 1,053 in all. Black ink on white paper, 8.5 by 11 inches, 204 pages, with a wide inside margin so the book lies open. Published under the Good Light Press imprint by K.
